According to author and world famous spiritual teacher, Eckhart Tolle, the pain body is a semi-autonomous being that thrives on the negativity that results from our unconsciousness. The pain body can hijack our bodies and minds, creating physical pain, emotional issues, illness and drama of every sort, so that is can feed on the fallout.
